Three-term Congressman John Delaney (D-MD) announced his 2020 presidential campaign extremely and unusually early – in July 2017 – in a Washington Post column.
Now, he’s already going up with 2020 TV ads in Iowa…on February 4, 2018.
I cringe at typing these words, but John Delaney (D) is going up with 2020 broadcast TV ads in Iowa on Feb 4, per Advertising Analytics.
The buy — so far — is $37,000 in Des Moines, Sioux City and Cedar Rapids.

That date is also notable because it’s the date of Super Bowl LII. As one random Twitter account pointed out, it’s also going on NBC, the channel hosting the Super Bowl.
First ads of the 2020 campaign for President: Congressman John Delaney will air TV ads this Sunday, February 4 in Iowa. Since the ads are all airing on NBC stations, a connection to Sunday’s Super Bowl on NBC is likely.
There’s always room for jello!

Talk about early TV ads.
