Chipotle Mexican Grill announced on Wednesday that the Mexican food chain will give bonuses and other benefits to its 71,000 employees across the United States, citing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act signed by President Donald Trump on December 22, 2017.
Chipotle will give out bonuses ranging from $250 to $1,000.
The Denver-based company will also offer its employees a stock grant, maternity/paternity leave, life insurance, short-term disability insurance, and accelerated training programs.
“We have always been proud of our ability to attract and retain top talent who share our passion for cooking delicious food by hand and creating an extraordinary guest experience,” Founder, Chairman and CEO Steve Ells said in the statement. “We’re giving back to these committed, motivated, and hardworking team members who have made Chipotle what it is today.”
