After the White House displayed a massive gay pride flag at the White House, some critics have claimed that the stunt could be a violation of the U.S. Flag Code.
As reported by Fox News, the display on Saturday featured a massive gay pride flag hanging over the White House facade facing the South Lawn, with an American flag on each side of it. Biden’s Twitter account posted a photo of the display, declaring that America “is a nation of Pride.”
However, the U.S. Flag Code dictates that only the American flag is allowed to be either at the center or at the top of any display featuring multiple flags; if any flag takes the position of prominence over the American flag, it is widely interpreted as being considered of higher importance than the nation’s flag.
