Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY) issued a harsh condemnation of Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for her stance on comments about Israel.
In an appearance on Fox News, Lawler took aim at Tlaib’s refusal to retract her claim that Israel bombed the Christian Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza despite a United States intelligence assessment and footage appearing to show Israel was not responsible for the explosion. The New York Republican suggested she didn’t belong in Congress after her remarks made outside the Capitol to protesters calling for a ceasefire.
“They are a disgraceful bunch,” Lawler said. “The fact that Rashida Tlaib stood outside yesterday in this rally saying and repeating this vile, disgusting lie, that Israel bombed the hospital, and offering no remorse despite the fact that the administration said it was a lie, shows what a disgusting person she is. She has no business serving in the House of Representatives. She showed more anger and upset at a lie than she did for the fact that you had 40 babies slaughtered, refusing to comment when Fox News asked her for comment about it. She has no business serving in the House of Representatives. It’s disgraceful.”
