During a town hall event Monday in Michigan, moderator Maria Shriver revealed that the questions posed to Vice President Kamala Harris had been “predetermined.”
The admission occurred after an audience member asked whether they would be able to ask questions directly. In response, Shriver candidly stated that the audience was not allowed to ask since questions were predetermined before the event.

“You’re not, unfortunately we have some predetermined questions. And hopefully I’ll be able to ask some of the questions that might be in your head, I hope so,” Shriver said.
However, a member of the audience managed to pose questions to Harris, one of which addressed the issue of gun violence and her plans to tackle it. In her response, Harris pivoted to discuss the normalization of active shooter drills in schools.
