A committee in the United States House of Representatives is expanding the scope of its ongoing investigation into ActBlue, the fundraising juggernaut that has funneled millions into Democratic campaigns and other far-left causes.
As reported by Fox News, the Committee on House Administration, chaired by Congressman Bryan Steil (R-Wisc.), is investigating the fundraiser after accusations of widespread fraud and actively circumventing campaign finance laws.
On Monday, Congressman Steil sent a letter to the Federal Election Commission (FEC), demanding that the agency “immediately initiate an emergency rulemaking to require political campaigns to verify the card verification value (‘CVV’) of donors who contribute online using a credit or debit card, and to prohibit political campaigns from accepting online contributions from a gift card or other prepaid credit cards.”
