Trans TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney , 26, won an award for Breakout Creator at the 2023 Streamy Awards on Sunday, in which Mulvaney took the opportunity to call out “hate and transphobia” during his acceptance speech.

Mulvaney, who famously came out as a “girl” after a failed acting career has both advised Joe Biden on the issue of trans kids and brought down Bud Light through a disastrous marketing partnership. Mulvaney did not achieve any real recognition, other than an appearance on The Price is Right, until deciding to transition and document that journey on TikTok.

“I’m really shocked because I thought the only award I would ever maybe win was maybe a Tony award. But now I’m a musical theater gal with a streamy!” Mulvaney exclaimed, wearing a red satin mini dress, diamond necklace, blonde tresses, and high heels.
