TUCSON, AZ – As the southern border continues to be overwhelmed with no help in sight, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has called for reinforcements to assist agents who are being overrun by illegal aliens at the southern border, in particular in Arizona, according to an internal message sent to agency officials and obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF).

DCNF said according to the memo, agents from the Douglas, AZ station are being called to assist agents at the Tucson processing center, which temporarily holds illegals that cross the border into Arizona. As of Sunday evening, Border Patrol had approximately 4,600 illegal aliens in custody in the Tucson sector alone, compared with a total of nearly 20,000 nationwide, according to two Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials who requested anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly.
